I never knew his name. He's from the neighbourhood and hangs around my place a lot (the bribe is called Whiskas Temptation). He's so friendly and thus his name, 'Fran Lee'. And what a lively lil' fella he is! I look forward to his company everyday. Acrylic on stretched canvas (16" x 20").

Many years ago, this was the boarding house for the girls in my alma mater. A former residence of Ong Tiang Swee (a prominent figure in Kuching back in early 1900s), it was turned into Diocesan Centre and now a boutique hotel. This painting was auctioned off during the school's 165th anniversary dinner on Oct 26, 2013. The proceed went to the school charity. Special credit to Derek Finch (DBHKer at Flickr), Audrey Ahed-Ong and Mag Bong. Oil painting on stretched canvas (30" x 40").

Oil painting on stretched canvas, 16" x 20". I drew my inspiration from Hans Hofmann's To J.F.K. - A Thousand Roots Did Die With Thee painting. To make it fun, I put some 'wonderings' in there, e.g. the windows/ doors in the minds, the influencers on the man's mind, etc. I call it 'Mind' because it is targeted at the mind of the viewer to liberate and unfold the painting from its current 2D confinement to many dimension of his/her interpretation.

There's no division in our soul. One world for all. (16" x 20", oil painting).
